As chief financial officer at Western Alliance Bancorp, Dale Gibbons has enjoyed 30 years of success in the banking and financial industry. He has contributed to the growth of the company by completing acquisitions of banks and other financial institutions. In addition, he successfully raised $400 million in common equity for the company. Dale Gibbons’ responsibilities have included planning, budgeting, and investor relations.
Before joining Western Alliance, Dale Gibbons held several executive positions at financial institutions. He spent five years as chief financial officer at Zions Bancorporation. Prior to his time at Zions, he served as senior vice president and planning and analysis director of First Interstate Bancorp. He joined First Interstate in 1979 while he was studying at Arizona State University. After graduating summa cum laude, earning a bachelor’s degree in business, he spent 15 additional years at First Interstate. In 1986, Gibbons passed the Arizona CPA exam, earning the second highest score in the state.
